Certainly! I photograph for a maximum of 6 hours in one day, which keeps me fully present and creative from the first frame to the last.

That makes focused coverage the natural approach. You might choose the ceremony and the portraits afterwards, or the preparations and the ceremony, or the celebration in the evening. If you would like the whole day documented, you are welcome to arrange another photographer for the remaining hours. On longer bookings I build a short break into the schedule.

Three things help enormously:

1. A schedule of the day, so I know how everything flows and when the moments you care about will happen.
2. A short list of the people you would like photographed individually, along with someone from your side who can point them out. I will not know who is who.
3. Any photos from my portfolio whose mood, composition, or approach you particularly like. Save them and send them over, so I understand what draws you.

The more I know in advance, the less you have to think about on the day itself.

Of course! Coverage can begin well before the ceremony, with the venue and its decorations before guests arrive, the dress and the rings, or the quieter moments of getting ready at the venue or your hotel.

Include that time in your booked coverage, so there is room for everything you would like photographed.

A few small things make a noticeable difference:

1. Walking down the aisle, take your time. A slower walk lets me capture the moment from several angles.
2. When placing the ring, keep your own hand underneath, so the ring stays visible to the camera.
3. If it feels natural, hold the rings up once they are on. It gives us a beautiful, clear photograph of them.
4. After signing the certificate, look towards the camera for a few seconds before standing up. It makes a lovely closing frame, and it works just as well if your witnesses do the same.
