I work along a compact walking route rather than moving between disconnected landmarks. In the Jordaan and Amsterdam’s canal belt, bridges, atmospheric streets, waterfront views, and quieter corners sit within a short distance of each other. For a greener setting, we can shape the session around Vondelpark or another of the city’s parks instead. You receive a suggested meeting point and route beforehand, so you do not need to plan it yourself.

Why I Avoid Amsterdam’s Busiest Streets

The most photographed corner of Amsterdam is not always the most useful place for a photoshoot. I plan around busy areas rather than forcing the session through them, because a quieter nearby street gives us more freedom with composition, movement, and timing while keeping the character of the city. That is why the route I suggest may favor a quieter corner over the most obvious one, giving us space to work at your pace.
