A Summer Bachelorette in Pink and Red
By Aleksandria Rudenko | Updated 28 October 2026

On a sunny summer day, a bride-to-be and twelve friends met me in Amsterdam, all dressed in shades of pink, red and white. I photographed their bachelorette in pink and red on the canal bridges and in the side streets around them.
With my group photoshoots in Amsterdam, a group this size is easy to guide. I plan a route with wide bridges and quiet corners, so all thirteen fit in the frame and nobody disappears behind someone else.
Pink and Red on a Canal Bridge
On a canal bridge under tall trees, the whole group stood in one long line. Pink tops, a coral dress, white lace and one bright red dress: together, their outfits turned thirteen people into a single palette. Against the green trees and the dark water, those colors glowed.
Then they walked toward me across a bridge, past tall gabled houses. A group in motion looks natural, so I rarely let a big group stand still for long.

Up close, there were sunglasses, a pink tulle skirt and a lot of laughter. That energy is exactly what a bachelorette in pink and red should feel like.

Legs Over the Edge of a Bridge
Old brick bridges cross the Amsterdam canals everywhere, and their wide edges make a perfect bench. On a bridge with three arches, the friends waved from the railing, and they also sat on its edge in one long row with their legs stretched out. Seen from a distance, the bridge, its arches and the whole group fit in one frame. Boats pass all day in summer, so I simply waited until one slid under the arch below them.

Arm in Arm in the Summer Sun
In a sunny side street, the group linked arms and walked toward me with their hair flying. With so many friends, the street was full from one side to the other. The sun came from behind them, so their hair lit up and nobody had to squint.

In a big group, I also look for the smaller ones inside it. Three friends leaned together in the sun on a quiet street.

Five others stood close in front of a dark door, with ivy and warm light above them. Moments like these show the friendships inside a big celebration.

For one frame, I asked everyone to look up while I photographed them from above. A circle of pouting faces in pink and red became the most playful frame of the whole bachelorette.

A Bachelorette Lineup in Pink
A brick canal house with a tall stoop and a black bike in front gave the group a stage of its own. Some sat on the railing, others stood on the steps, and the whole group fit into the frame. Everyone found her own spot, from the top of the railing to the lowest step. It makes a fitting last image for this bachelorette in pink and red.
