Jasmine is originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She relocated to Amsterdam several years ago and works as a creative designer at an international fashion brand. The contrast between Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur is tremendous, but Jasmine likes both cities in their own way.
We first got to know each other when I was invited to capture a creative event organized by Jasmine’s company with a corporate event photo reportage. Jasmine was already looking for a professional portrait photographer that could shoot creative profile pictures for both her LinkedIn profile as well as Facebook and Instagram.
As someone who is working in Amsterdam’s creative industry, she wanted her profile photos to look alternative, stylish, and yet suitable as corporate portraits at the same time. The photographs of the event exceeded expectations, hence Jasmine decided to book a business portraits photoshoot with me in the following week. Taking portraits of Jasmine while being surrounded by the gorgeous evening cityscape of Amsterdam, was a fun and creative photography experience!
